Who is a Volunteer ?

Briefly a volunteer is someone who works for a community or for the benefit of environment primarily because they choose to do so. By definition, a volunteer does not get paid or receive compensation for services rendered. Taking your time off to volunteer in Ghana will be of great reward because there are genuine need for assistance particularly in schools, orphanages, health care centers, poor communities etc. While volunteering you will have the opportunity to experience a country endowed with breath taking landscapes, changing terrain and exotic coastline. Volunteer as a teacher in school

This is an opportunity for well meaning persons to volunteer as a teacher or teacher assistant in some schools in Ghana which need teaching aid.

You don't have to be a teacher to take part in and enjoy your Teaching placements. Open to all volunteers, you really benefit the students you work with, while gaining valuable skills yourself. Placements are in primary and junior high schools.

Assist in an orphanage

Orphanage work in Ghana gives volunteers the opportunity to help orphaned children who have grown up on the streets of Accra, Ghana with no parent guidance and care. Sometimes well meaning Ghanaians give donations to support these orphanages to Ameliorate a little the hardship these orphans undergo due to shortage of basic necessities
