Orphanage work in Ghana gives volunteers the opportunity to help orphaned children who have grown up on the streets of Accra, Ghana with no parent guidance and care. Sometimes well meaning Ghanaians give donations to support these orphanages to Ameliorate a little the hardship these orphans undergo due to shortage of basic necessities of life such as food, clothing and fundamental education. Being a volunteer in Ghana also provides the atmosphere where orphaned children can experience the fun and excitement of your presence and assistance especially through learning, sharing love and care. Volunteers also work on developing creativity and talent of these children. At the weekend, volunteers have organized mini-Olympics, obstacle courses, sporting games, and various outings for the orphanage children.

Working Hours: Flexible; Monday to Friday approximately 30 hours per week, all other times are free

Getting to the project: Dependent on location, 30 minutes to 1 hour multi-people taxi ride or commercial bus transporter (budget approximately US $10 per week)
